Good Thursday morning!
Or as they say in Jamaica, "Whaa gwaan?" (That means "What's going on?" or "How are you?" I know this to be true because I "googled" it on the Internet, and everything on the Internet is 100 percent correct.)
Roxie's sweet friend, Taylor, went on a cruise last week. One of the "stops" was Jamaica, and this was Roxie's souvenir.
I tried to get a picture of the guys wearing the hat, but Austin informed me it was a "girl" hat.
I don't know when The Boy became an authority on Jamaican head wear, but he's been a little smarter than me for quite some time now, and I don't intend to argue with him.
My picture is tinted because I'm sitting in front of a pinkish couch... wearing a teal and blue polka dot shirt... with a green, yellow, red and black Jamaican hat on my head.
Believe me. I am much less painful to look at in black and white than FULL BLOWN COLOR!
If you're a female, and you stop by Faulkner Farms (circa 1842), be prepared to be photographed wearing the hat!
RANDOMNESS #1 - The Boy and I have a new favorite thing this Summer. We love Yoplait Frozen Smoothie Mixes. The chocolate/banana and strawberry/banana are the only two we've tried so far, but we are hooked.
All you need is one cup of milk, the bag of frozen goodness and a blender. It makes two huge glasses of smoothie.
RANDOMNESS #2 - I'm going to finish my thoughts on "The Adventure of Life" in tomorrow's post. I'm a little here and there today, and I cannot effectively put sentences together... which is why I'm taking pictures of people wearing Jamaican hats.

Dog Walking Date
It is hot outside. And when it is hot outside, Sparkle rarely moves. In the Spring and Fall, she is almost giddy and she jumps and plays like a puppy, but during the three or four months of the year with heavy humidity and 100 degree heat indexes she shows her age.
I am the world's worst when it comes to wanting to do anything active at 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. these days. I want to put on my pajamas and sit on an air vent. It's what I look forward to all day long.
But Sparkle puts on a little weight during June, July and August, and she needs some one-on-one "walking around the neighborhood" time.
Which brings me to today's date!
We cannot walk Sparkle without Copper. He will not have it! So two leashes, two beagles and two people talking one-on-one as they stroll around the neighborhood in the cooler temps of nightfall would make a great date.
And Mikie and I intend to start this date tonight. (I called him a few minutes ago. He's thrilled, I tell you!)
And tomorrow night, it might be Mikie and Roxie. The next night might be me and The Boy. I think you get it. The combinations can go on and on and on.
Is this the most fun date ever invented?
No. No, it is not.
But it can still be enjoyable, easy, inexpensive one-on-one time before school starts again and life begins to get busy... again.
Maybe I'll see you and yours tonight. I'll be the one walking the slow mini-beagle. Mikie will be wrangling the hyper beagle!
Have a thrilling Thursday. I'll be back tomorrow with Weekend Happenings and a couple of small (but very important) announcements.
Take care, and I'll talk to you in the morning.
Sincerely,
The Enchanting Belinda
Dog walkers are becoming a common choice for many dog owners, especially the ones who do not have the time to walk their dog on regular basis.
