Memorial Day Catch-Up, Blog Linkage, Quotable Quotes, Knock-Knock Jokes, Impossible Coconut Pie AND Judith Pics

Good Friday morning!

RANDOMNESS - Courtney's parents invited any and all Faulkners to their house last Sunday afternoon for lunch and some pool time. Roxie and I were the only two of the Gardendale Faulkners able to attend, but we had a nice, relaxing time around the water watching Judith and her cousin, Sarah Grace, frolic between the baby pool and the big blue pool.

The obligatory sister/brother selfie.

You can tell they're out of practice.

The also-obligatory back-of-the-baby-bathing-suit pic.

Ruffles and animal print and pink...

Oh, my!

The let's-give-Judith-a-Memorial-Day-mohawk pic.

Josh and Courtney.

One more sister/brother selfie...

Much better than the first.

And sweet Sarah Grace.

Hilarious Knock Knock Jokes for Kids

My guys were huge fans of the Knock Knock Joke.

HUGE.

And while Knock Knock jokes are not my favorite kind of humor, I appreciate the fact little boys will at one point in their young lives tell many, many, many knock knock jokes to patient mothers all over these United States of America.

That is just a cold, hard fact.

1. Knock, knock. Who’s there? Goliath. Goliath who? Goliath down, you look-eth tired!

2. Knock, knock. Who’s there? Broccoli? Broccoli who? Broccoli doesn’t have a last name, silly.

3. Knock, knock. Who’s there? Amish. Amish who? Really? You don’t look like a shoe!

4. Knock, knock. Who’s there? Canoe. Canoe who? Canoe come out and play with me?

5. Knock, knock. Who’s there? Isabel. Isabel who? Isabel working? I had to knock!

Impossible Coconut Pie

If you are a lover of egg custard, you will most certainly enjoy this pie.

If you are NOT a lover of egg custard, go no further.

You will need the following:

2 cups milk
1 cup desiccated coconut
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup plain flour
8 tablespoons butter or margarine 3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1. Place milk, coconut, eggs, vanilla, flour, margarine and sugar in blender. Mix well.

2. Pour into a greased and floured pie plate. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Have a great weekend. The Chick is on her way back from a trip to Charleston, so I am very happy today.

Talk to you in a few.

Sincerely,

The Enchanting Belinda
